I met some great people here who were all traveling from around the world too. The hosts are very kind and their facilities encourage you to meet the other visitors in their comfortable dining-relaxing area. The location can be walked to if you don't ride the shuttle, and it took me about 20 minutes from the JR station, which I would only recommend during the day, since you have to walk on the side of the road at times. I hiked Yufuin-Dake back and a new friend went all the way to Oita, while I rode the bus back to Beppu before my evening in Aso.

Absolutely love this place and people!! Ryo and Tomo are top notch host with attention to details, professionalism and with full of positive energy. Place is impeccably clean, cozy and warm with super cool onsen. I've had two wonderful meals and enjoyed every bite of it. Also have enjoyed the after dinner 2000 hr walking under the star lights. The property is very nice. I felt like I was staying at home, and the owner was both amiable and disciplined. The onsen was wonderful and relaxing, and the mountain view in the morning was spectacular. The food prepared by the owner was delicious, and they even performed a farewell song. The owner also provided a ride to the station at 8:20 in the morning (they offer rides to the station twice in the morning, at 8:20 and 9:20). If I have the chance, I would definitely stay here again.

I had a lovely stay! The atmosphere is very nice, the staff are kind and helpful and the food is delicious. The space is very comfortable and feels homely. The walk to see the stars was very fun! It’s a bit of a walk from town, but if you go on the back roads from the lake, it is a beautiful walk with good views of the mountain and some nice Japanese houses. The shuttle bus in the morning was useful and I enjoyed the goodbye song. Thank you!!

Other than that, everything is great! Host has been hosting for 18 years now with his wife! So you also have a native host! When you leave, they sing you a country song, how unique!!
